not only is jacques-henri lartigue one of the most amazing photographers, he lived a life filled with stunning women. we'll start at the end ... flore ormea, known as florette, met lartigue on 12 january 1942 - she was 21 and he was 48. she was his companion and then his wife and remained with him for the rest of his life. in 1979 they decided to donate his entire photographic collection to the french state in what, at the time, was an unprecedented for a photographer. she died in paris on may 2 in 2000. sometimes i dream about her fingernails.
