a very young karl lagerfeld at a design competition in 1955. 19 year old yves saint laurent was also in the competition..... lagerfeld (around 21??) won the coat category with a daffodil yellow wool coat while saint laurent won both first and third prize in the dress category. proof that we were all once young!
