british coroner paul knapman found cocaine, sleeping pills & tranquilizers in the blood samples from alexander mcqueen. he said that mcqueen "killed himself while the balance of his mind was disturbed." he also added that mcqueen was under pressure from work and grieving for his mother and had a history of self-harm.the suicide note found in his apartment was written in the back of the book the descent of man. included instructions for his burial and ended with "please look after my dogs. sorry. i love you. lee."his psychiatrist, dr. stephen pereira, said he had diagnosed him with mixed anxiety and depressive disorder & revealed that mcqueen had attempted to take his own life twice before.the inquest into mcqueen's death is now closed.
