a memorial service for alexander mcqueen was held this morning at st. paul's cathedral in london. anna wintour gave an address to a congregation of more than a thousand people and recalled mcqueen's dante collection, which included the famour "bumster" pants, "one (model) turned to give me an extremely prominent close-up of her mostly naked back view. well, after that collection is was a done deal. everybody lowered their trousers everywhere." björk performed wearing angel wings & a silver helmet, and the service closed with a performance by a chorus of bagpipe players dressed in kilts.
