the world's oldest candle company, cire trudon, has opened a store on bond street in new york. the parisian company originally opened in the 6th arrondissemnent in 1884 but the founder of the company, claude trudon, started the candle business in 1643. the store is modeled after the galerie des glaces at versailles. i love that it took 126 years to expand! genius.
