exhibition lipstick issuenew luxury magazine exhibition has a singular intent: to cover one particular object or product - often considered commonplace - in depth. the theme is lipstick for the first edition...."the lipstick is a commercial object yet full of symbols & symbolism. it is iconic, timeless, intimate & generates plenty of fantasies," says exhibition editor in chief, jean-christophe husson. stories include pastry chef pierre hermé concocting goodies that re-create iconic couture red lipsticks by chanel, givenchy & christian dior. makeup artists tom pecheux, nicolas degennes & ellis faas apply their lipstick reds to whole pages & ben hassett photographed kelly brook coated with lipstick. also in the issue are richard burbridge, sølve sundsbø & willy vanderperre. exhibition's debut print run is 5,000 copies sold for 20 euros (about $27) and there is no advertising in the first issue. the magazine is published & owned by a private investor whose name was not revealed. staff includes creative directors edwin sberro & gael hugo & editor at large, boris ovini. available on international newstands starting january 25.
