these were all the ladies that heavily influenced me when i was a girl. i've been thinking alot about time lately - it goes by so quickly - i bought a 1920s dress on ebay recently and suddenly realized i was wearing a dress that was almost 94 years old. 94 years! jerry hall was my number one favorite - of course because everyone told me how much i looked like her. after her was model kelly emberg....she was huge in those days & i loved her. back then my magazine of choice was cosmo...oh man, it was like a bible! i remember following all the makeup tips - and there were alot back then! shading & shadowing and blending - we were NOT the natural generation. i remember ordering from the esprit catalog and waiting for it to come...i'm pretty sure i sent a check to them first! no credit cards back in the day. i don't think my style has veered too far away from those early days ... but i do i miss being 12 and super excited about everything and so starry eyed. i forget how much these girls were an influence - before the internet and all the easy access to information they opened a door of possibility that i will forever be grateful for. those were the days indeed.
