in a move that makes me very sad, gucci group president & ceo robert polet announced today that alexander mcqueen's label will continue to operate. apparently they spoke a few weeks ago and mcqueen was keen on having a legacy and leaving something behind......noone can replace his talent or vision - it will either be a bad copy of what someone thinks mcqueen would have done or just wrong for the label. announcing this so soon after his death is also so very tacky. just so wrong - making money at whatever cost.
